Bark Cloth

Bark Cloth by Barktex is a tree bark fleece; exactly one cloth is created from the bark of one Mutuba tree. The harvesting processing of the bark is done exclusively by hand and part of ancient traditional art that has been passed on for generations.

This textile-like material uses no binders, dyes or other additives, only containing bark fiber which is chemically broken down to cellulose, hemicellulose, tannins and traces of minerals.

Bark Cloth’s colour ranges from orange to deep reddish brown. The sizes range from 130 to 180 cm in width and 255 to 350 cm in length and it is from 0.3 to 1.8 mm thick.
